This project for I.S. 167 in Manhattan involved a range of significant repairs and upgrades focusing on the building’s exterior and site work. Key aspects of the work included the replacement of parapet walls and coping, along with the adjacent roofing. Extensive face brick replacement and masonry repointing were also performed to address facade damage. Site work improvements included new paving in the play yard, replacement of slabs and stairs in the areaway, and repairs to the retaining wall. Additionally, all windows in the school were replaced. The project also involved asbestos abatement and the removal of PCB-containing caulk where necessary.
