Project Description
This project for J.H.S. 190 in Queens primarily involved the removal of an existing oil-fired heating plant and its replacement with a new gas-fired heating plant, including new low-pressure steam boilers, a boiler feed unit, a vacuum pump set, and steam distribution piping. The work also included providing new gas service and rigging for a new gas meter. The existing pneumatic control system, air compressor, PRV station, and air storage tanks were removed and replaced with a new DDC Climate Control System. Additionally, the existing hot water heater was replaced with a new gas-fired hot water heater. Other work encompassed replacing existing electrical equipment, removing and replacing concrete equipment pads, and priming and painting boiler room walls and floors.
